So apparently, one of my secret fave actresses (I have a lot sssh) slash girl crush is rising to fame. Mainstream fame. I know, horrible. I'm happy for her, though, since the movie she's in is slaying the box office, but of course I can't help but feel a bit possessive (bc i am) and go like, "Um yeah I've been her fan since Effy Stonem." and I'd secretly laugh at the clueless look on the new "fans" faces. How cruel of me. Yes, she is a great actress who happens to be very attractive and British so people can't help but love her, BUT YOOOO I WAS HERE FIRST GO AWAY!!!

So our Filipino teacher gave us an assignment -- write a poem about pag-ibig. I know, sounds horrible. But, due to some miracle, I was able to make the poem in 20 minutes and I have decided to post it here for all of you to read before Mrs. Gabanes reads it. Feel special.

Another album I am so totally in love is x, or multiply, by Ed Sheeran, that ginger I am so totally in love with.

X was released last month (I think) and OH MY GOD IT'S SO FULL OF PERFECTION. Not that I'm surprised. It's Ed, after all. 

The first single off the album, Sing, isn't what you'd really expect from Ed. I admit, I didn't quite like it at first because it sounded nothing like Ed and everything like Justin Timblerlake. It's one of those songs that grow on you, though. But I'm not really into it that much. Too much pop. 

The second single, One, is most definitely what people would define as an "Ed Sheeran" song. Just his guitar and his voice. And the lyrics speak a lot too. 

One of my favorite songs is Don't, which is at the same time really catchy and really Ed-ish. Not the usual guitar and vocals but pretty awesome if you ask me. 

I also really adore I'm A Mess, Photograph, Tenerife Sea, and Thinking Out Loud. And the rest of his album too, of course. 

Edward fucking Sheeran you are a musical god.

So I recently just bought the new 5 Seconds of Summer album from iTunes and holy schist, these four boys are AMAZING. 

I absolutely just love every single song on the album. 

But...

of course, Don't Stop will always be one of my favorites

OH MY GOD I AM SO HAPPY! My aunt got me Titanium tickets for the boys' concert here in the Philippines next year. I had to get tickets for the SECOND show because March 21st, the first show, just so happens to be the day of our graduation. BUT ANYWAY I AM SO HAPPY! I'm finally getting to see Zayn, Liam, Harry, Louis and Niall after YEARS OF WAITING AND DREAMING OF MEETING THEM. I can't wait omfg

Homework 1

To start off this school year, I would like to post our first assignment ever -- given to us by Ms. Adrias.
This is basically all about me, and I'm just gonna add a bunch of stuff that wasn't included in the assignment, I'll just write it in bold (gotta keep it formal, y'know. or maybe semi-formal in my case)

1. What is your favorite book, and why?
My favorite book is Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. It's about this guy, Clay, who spends most of the book listening to these cassette tapes which were recorded by Hannah, this girl he was secretly in love with, pre-suicide. There are seven tapes, one side of the last tape left empty. In each side, she talks about the thirteen people who somehow caused her self-inflicted death, hence the title Thirteen Reasons Why. I love this book because it just fills me with emotions: pity for Clay and Hannah, anger at the jerks who destroyed her. It also teaches us to be careful with our words and actions around people because they could literally affect someone and cause so much pain that he might just consider ending that pain -- thus ending his own life. AND THERE ARE A FEW AWESOME PLOT TWISTS TOO 

2. What has the world always gotten so wrong about you?

I honestly don't know what people think of me but I guess everyone -- my friends, classmates, sometimes even my family -- sees me as this girl who basically doesn't seem to be bothered by anything but deep down I probably care more than I let on. CHOSERA HAHAHAHAAHA but really

3. What would you like to tell Ms. Adrias about you?

Guess what? I'm a huge Twihard too (YAY!) and ship Robsten (Taylor's all mine TEAM JACOB BUT FOR NICE NOT BELLA), though I'm more Kristen-obsessed. I AM IN LOVE WITH KRISTEN STEWART. I N L O V E.

Aside from that, I'm a big music fan. I mostly listen to rock (The Beatles, The Runaways, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, stuff like that AND JIMMY EAT WORLD AND NIRVANA AND THE WHO AND BON JOVI UGH I COULD GO ON FOREVER) and I also like indie music. Oh, and I love to read. I LOVE BOOKS SO MUCH IT HURTS BOOKS ARE MY LIFE

2014-2015

It's the start of a new school year! It's also my last year at Assumption! Should I be sad? Happy? Relieved (oh, yay, FINALLY I'M GRADUATING!)? I honestly don't know how to feel, but I do know that this school year's gonna be one hell of a ride. 

First of all, I am again writing on this blog after what felt like eternity because of course, Mr. Gerano is still my teacher (it's been four years, gosh), and he requires us to have this blog and we all have to regularly update it.

There is much to look forward to this school year. There are of course, the yearly activities like the Kapatiran, our immersions, the Playfest (WOOHOO!), and the Intrams. Buuuuut there are the great things only the fourth year get to experience, and I would just like to mention two -- prom and the dreaded yet much awaited graduation day. *whispers* and we get to have huge desks (great for sleeping) and the best restroom in the high school campus!!!

But it's not all fun and games since this place is, obviously, a school. I am not so excited about the amount of schoolwork about to be thrown at us. Who ever is? Oh, and we're supposed to take our college entrance exams while drowning in the sea of lessons and tests and pressure too. 

"I Will Survive" is definitely going to be the most played song in my iTunes this year.

Is it unusual for a 15-year-old to be blogging this late at night (or should I say this early in the morning?)? Probably not. Especially not when she's extremely bored and couldn't get herself to sleep since her brain just randomly decided to question her purpose in life just before she was going to close her eyes. 

I am so bored.

The DLSU Lady Spikers. Another one of my many obsessions. It's volleyball Season 76 in the UAAP and La Salle has gone undefeated until last Wednesday, when the ADMU Lady Eagles crushed them in the first game of the championship. Yes, the rivals DLSU and ADMU meet again in the finals. DLSU won the second game, though it was a close call for ADMU too. 

Ara Galang, my favourite player, of course does her best in all their games and she has been chosen as the POG or Player of the Game for several of their games. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes two-time MVP and is announced the captain for next year's season. I love her. I love Ara Galang. Who doesn't love Ara Galang? Mika Reyes, Aby Marano, Coach Ramil, and the rest of the team (and La Salle and Thomas Torres) obviously love her to death. But I love her more. She's awesome.

FIVE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH FROZEN:

1.) Kristen Bell voices Anna.

 Yes. It's true. Shocking, overwhelming, amazing, but true. Kristen Bell can sing. And amazingly at that. Who knew this pretty blonde could belt out lines for a Disney musical?

2.) PLOT TWISTS

Plot twists in Frozen are like the snow in Frozen. They're everywhere.  E V E R Y W H E R E. Like, Elsa's powers... you never see it coming. 

3.) Olaf

Now who wouldn't want to see an adorable, lovable talking snowman? Really, how could you resist?

4.) Elsa and Anna

Elsa, ironically, is so hot. So. Damn. Hot. She and Anna, who's awkwardly adorable, are the perfect pair. 

5.) Probably the first Disney princess movie not focusing on romantic love but love for family. In this case, for sisters. Why shouldn't you watch that?

Even though I couldn't go to all those shows... There is one show I think that possibly maybe I could go to and it's... *drumroll* WANDERLAND MUSIC FESTIVAL!!!!

 

Probably one of the biggest music festivals this 2014, it's going to be on May 17 (I think???) AND MY DAD IS LETTING ME GO AS LONG AS I HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS GOING WITH ME!!! *cue cheering*

The lineup has not been released yet, though of course everyone's expecting some big names especially from the indie genre (*crosses fingers* Vampire Weekend, The XX, The 1975, and Tao Door Cinema Club please).

so much concerts, so little time, NO MONEY AT ALL

so basically most of my favourite artists are coming to the Philippines and obviously (and unfortunately) I am very poor both in terms of money and time to actually go attend these concerts and it breaks my heart not being to see them live...

...especially my favourite band, Mayday Parade, which, as I am typing right now, is performing. 

Also, the very attractive and talented Bruno Mars is visiting the Philippines and I have sacrificed the chance I had to attend the Seniors' graduation because I love (most of) them that much. 

The 1975, which is an awesome indie band (listen to "Chocolate"), has like, four shows in two days AND I CAN'T GO TO EITHER OF THOSE SHOWS 

Do you people even listen to these bands because I know I do

To add to my depression, another one of my super fave bands (yes, i have a lot) is going to perform live and I just Taylor Momsen and her band's music which is just pure, lovely rock and it just... it's breaking my Pretty Reckless heart 💔

Tell me, who wouldn't want to see three attractive siblings who can actually sing? This is the Jonas Brothers all over again (the only difference is I saw the JoBros live). 

and of course, Taylor Swift. Who wouldn't want to go?
